Google Adsense. Some Loathe It. Some Love It.

It’s those ‘helpful’ links on the sides of Google, hundreds-of-thousands of blogs and websites. It’s in almost every language. Its Google Adsense filling the role of sinner and saint.

For those whom see Adsense as a saint point to the the international traffic, ease of use, massive advertiser base, fexibility, and reliable payments to fend off any Adsense attacks. However, others point to Google’s Evil and agrue about the hidden revenue share, lack of control, high bar for minimum payments.

So let’s explore each side of the debate. Saint Adsense cares for the small bloggers of world because hardly anyother advertising network can provide an income for those with international blogs. Most ad networks will not accept you if you have the majority of traffic coming internationally.

As Darren Rowse explains, “I know as someone who has a large Australian readership of some of my blogs that it is one of the best ways that I’ve found to make money from that traffic.”

Other reasons Adsense is saintly include the ease of implementing ads. I’ve found no other comparable ad networds or software to compete against the ease of using Adsense. A complete non-techie can copy and paste the code in to her blog. It’s this extremely simple design and ease of use that make Adsense the first choice for many publishers.

This first choice spot in many publisher’s minds is backed by the massive list of advertisers already on Adsense. It’s incredible how ads can be served even on the most obscure topics. The amount of advertisers truely defines the copy and paste simplicity of Adsense.

“Like every method of making money for blogs - AdSense isn’t always the best choice - however there are plenty of good reasons to test it out.”
